Working Partners
Albany Institute of History and Art (AIHA) – Provides the Foundation with in-kind staff and logistical support for the “Art from the Heart” program. AIHA provides public exhibitions of selected art works from the “Art form the Heart” program.
State University of New York- Institute of Technology, School of Nursing and Health Systems (SUNYIT) - Has partnered with the Foundation to provide a range of on-going support services related to the Leadership Institute, such as ongoing participation of SUNY staff on the Leadership Institute Advisory Committee assistance in the development and refinement of curriculum for nursing education, review and approval of course content by the Curriculum Development Committee, general academic support including guest speakers, the provision of college credits to participants, and use of campus learning facilities and resources such as libraries, computer labs and career counseling centers.
New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) – Partners with the Foundation to provide contact hours and continuing education units to participants in the Nurse Leadership and Nurse Educators Course. NYSNA also has a representative that participates on the Leadership Institute Advisory Committee.
Funding Partners
Johnson & Johnson/Society for Arts In Healthcare – Is providing $10,000 in support for equipment and supplies for the 2006 “Art from the Heart” Program. The Foundation for Quality Care is also a contributing member to the Society for Arts in Healthcare.
New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) – Between 2007-2010, NYSDOH provided the Foundation with $597,000 of support from the Health Workforce Retraining Initiative (HWRI) to fund the Nurse Leadership Institute and Nurse Educator Pilot Program.
Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation – Between 2008-2011, Langeloth Foundation will provide FQC with $475,000 to fund the Geriatric Nursing Assistant Career Development Program, which is a career ladder education and recruitment program for certified nursing assistant (CNAs) working in nursing homes.
