Listed below are recent grants that have been awarded to the Foundation for Quality. Care. The list includes: the year(s) of the grant, funding agency, program(s) funded, program status or outcome and award amount.
 
2008-2011 - Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation – to fund the Geriatric Nursing Assistant Career Development Program, which is a career ladder education and recruitment program for certified nursing assistant (CNAs) working in nursing homes. Total award amount $475,000.
 
2007-2010 - NYSDOH-Health Workforce Retraining Initiative, combined with funding from (HRSA) –Nurse Education, Practice and Retention Program grant funds the Long Term Care Leadership Institute. this program will provide leadership training to approximately 600 nurse leaders (first line managers, nurse educators, directors of nursing) and 60 nursing home administrators across New York   Total award amount - $597,000.
 
2007-2010 -U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) –Nurse Education, Practice and Retention Program grant to fund the Long Term Care Leadership Institute. Combined with funding from NYSDOH-Health Workforce Retraining Initiative, this program will provide leadership training to approximately 300 nurse leaders (first line managers, nurse educators, directors of nursing) and 60 nursing home administrators across New York   Total award amount - $415,000.
 
2007 - First Niagara Foundation to partially fund the Art from the Heart Program 2007. Award amount - $500. 
 
2006 -2007 - The Dyson Foundation - funding for the Long Term Care Nurse Educator Program. Program was offered in January-February 2007. Award Amount $20,000. See final report.
 
2006-2007 Community Foundation for the Capital Region Community Health Fund - funding for the Long Term Care Nurse Educator Program.  Program will be offered in January & February 2007.  Award amount $5,000. See final report.
 
2005-2006 - Johnson & Johnson and the Society for Arts in Healthcare - Partnership to Promote Arts and Healing Grant Program to fund equipment and supplies for the Art from the Heart Program 2006. Award amount $10,000. See final report. 
 
2005-2006 – New York State Energy Research and Development Authority – FlexTech Services Program to fund energy conservation studies. Program began January 2006 to conduct Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Energy Conservation Study Program. Award amount $35,000. See final report.
 
2002-2005 - New York State Department of Health - Health Workforce Retraining Initiative (HWRI) to fund the Nurse Leadership Institute.  This program successfully educated 200 directors of nursing and a pilot program for 20 Nurse Educators from 159 nursing homes across New York state. Total award amount - $560,000.
